A decade ago, I was 9 years old. I was young and innocent, and obsessed with Hanson. I wanted desperately to be a Girl Scout, but couldn't find a troop to join until the following year. I was in the gifted and talented program. The GT advisor was an older lady and she had a long braided ponytail that almost reached the floor. I remember dissecting owl pellets. I'm not quite sure why. I met my now best friend Tori that year, since she was in my class. Her grandmother lived near me, so I remember we used to hang out in my neighborhood. Nothing particularly interesting happened that year, asside from the bunny basket incident. It was around Easter time, and for an arts and crafts project my 3rd grade teacher thought it would be fun to make little easter baskets that looked like bunnies so she could fill each of ours with candy. It was fun until the Elmer's glue and cotton balls just refused to cooperate. 0.0

I yelled and cried and tore parts of my bunny basket apart in frustration. Thus, the springboard for my perfectionism.

I am a bit of a perfectionist, but I am also a fabulous procrastinator. And a Gemini - which essentially means I was practically born with an excuse to have bipolar personality traits because Gemini is the sign of the twins.  I have always wanted to be a twin. When I was about that age, I really wanted to be Mary-Kate and Ashley. But even though I have a sister, she is only a half-sister. My mom gave her up for adoption many moons ago, long before she met my father. It saddens me to this day that I might never get to know her, or hug her. Or even meet her family.

I would like to think I have matured substantially in the past decade. I now understand all the sexual innuendos in "10 Things I Hate About You," and I distinctly remember which ones I didn't know about back then. =P

I have given my heart and soul to a life with God. I have set moral standards for myself so I always remain true to who I am. I have done well in school over the years, graduated high school, and am now in my second year of college. I have kissed 3 boys, had 2 boyfriends, and 1 excrutiating case of Mono. >.<

I have an amazing family and core group of friends who I can always depend on. I have met some of my favorite celebrities, traveled to some of America's greatest cities, and embraced new and exciting experiences. Above everything I have accomplished in my life, my 3rd grade self would probably be most ecstatic about the fact that I FINALLY got to go to a Hanson concert last fall! =D
